Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
CCA is a women-led national Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Machakos Town, Kenya, dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities through health, environment, education, and leadership initiatives.
While our main office is in Machakos, we operate nationally, with active programs in Nairobi, Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Mombasa, and Taita Taveta.
We use a three-pillar approach: we are Community-centered (designing programs with the community), Evidence-driven (grounding advocacy in research), and Collaborative (partnering with others to amplify impact).
We focus on four thematic areas: Health Advocacy (maternal and digital health), Environment & Climate Change (tree planting and education), Education (mentorship and scholarships), and Leadership & Governance (civic education and youth training).
To date, we have reached over 5,000 community members through health campaigns, planted thousands of trees in Eastern Kenya, and supported numerous vulnerable youth through scholarships and mentorship.
We collaborate with various stakeholders, including County Governments, Compassion for Africa Village (CAV), and the Rotary Club of El Cajon Sunset.
